The Adelante Foundation


The Adelante Foundation came to us with a small mailing list and a big challenge: develop an effective fundraising direct mail package with a very small budget. Inquiring about their list, we learned that 95 percent of the people on it gave before. So we approached the project more as a retention effort. We started by employing a time-tested tactic: incorporating a Thank you message right on the outer. Inside, we used several direct response tactics that are effective in fundraising — telling a story and showing how the money will be used. To keep cost down, our printer suggested that we have the piece photocopied on a high-end copier. The final product looked great, and the client was very satisfied. (See testimonial page.)
